After retiring from a career in Plastic Surgery, I rekindled my interest in woodworking and took a class in woodturning pens. It hooked me! I love planning the patterns out in my head, making the blanks, and turning the pens. If you are interested in a personalized, hand made pen, I offer you the ability to choose your pen kit (the mechanism hardware), the material encasing the working parts (wood, acrylic, inlays, etc.), engraving of name or initials, colors, and finish (cyanoacrylate or friction polish). I have organized this site to display pens that I have made, examples of the pen kits available, woods and acrylics available, and an order form. If you prefer a kit or material that is not listed, let me know where you found it and I will try to obtain it. If we can meet in person after the order is placed but before the pen is started, I have developed a way to custom fit the portion of the pen that is gripped by your fingers for added comfort. I want my pens to be both works of art and comfortable writing instruments.
