Nonsurgical or “Liquid” Rhinoplasty
Nonsurgical rhinoplasty or “nose job” with dermal fillers offers many benefits to our patients in Roanoke, VA. It can balance the proportion of the nose to the face, smooth a prominent bridge hump, and create the appearance of a straighter, more defined nose. Because the procedure uses dermal filler injections instead of surgery to refine the shape of the nose, we often refer to the nonsurgical nose job as a liquid rhinoplasty.
Surgical vs. Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures sought by patients. Among other things, surgical rhinoplasty can smooth humps, straighten curves, or reduce size. Surgical rhinoplasties usually involve high cost, weeks of downtime, and often, even in the best of hands, result in minor irregularities.
For appropriate conditions, a nonsurgical rhinoplasty can take less than 10 minutes to perform, is less than half the cost of a surgical nose job, and requires little to no downtime. We can even reverse a nonsurgical rhinoplasty if the patient is unhappy with it. The results are evident immediately.

How much does a nonsurgical nose job cost?
The price for a nonsurgical rhinoplasty at our Roanoke, VA, practice is between $500 and $2,500. In contrast, the price of surgical rhinoplasty usually starts at $5,000 and can increase from there, depending on the complexity of the surgery.
How does a nonsurgical rhinoplasty work?
For nonsurgical rhinoplasties, we use the same hyaluronic acid fillers that help us enhance lips and smooth facial wrinkles. Depending on the areas that require volume, we may inject firmer or softer fillers in the nose to achieve the desired effect. Shaping the nose with fillers combines art with surgical expertise and should be done by someone who routinely works with faces in this manner.
Choose a Provider With Experience
Unlike other areas in the face, the nose presents several challenges that require a thorough knowledge of the anatomy and circulation to minimize the risk of complications. Many people who inject fillers do not have training in the three-dimensional architecture of the nose and its blood supply.
Dr. Silberblatt has performed numerous rhinoplasties during his 35 years in practice and is familiar with the normal circulation to the nose, as well as alterations that may occur after surgery or traumatic injury. Though complication-free procedures can never be guaranteed, proper training, education, and experience should minimize the risk.
Can I make my nose smaller without surgery?
Nonsurgical rhinoplasties add volume to the nose and may not be suitable for patients with large noses who are seeking to reduce the size. However, sometimes smoothing a hump by adding volume above or below it may give it the illusion of becoming smaller.
